Each year the First Graders in Mrs. Ellis’ class draw self-portraits and write facts about themselves: how old they are, their favorite foods, siblings they may have, pets, and what they are best at. For the 2011 September Open House, the students created a movie to show to their parents. Using iMovie, the self-portraits were scanned into the program and each of the students were recorded describing themselves. A fun project that the students enjoyed creating!

Students have been writing free verse poetry in class with Tracey. During computer literacy with Karin Gravina and Tracey, students typed their poems and located images to illustrate their poems. Using Voicethread, the students recorded their poems. Enjoy these wonderful, creative poems.

The students in Carla Footit’s class are studying oceans. Each student created a watercolor painting of the ocean. Each painting is quite amazing! Perfect for creating a fun video.
