The third graders have been studying the night sky. They have read many myths and stories about the moon. The students presented a play about an African child who is told several stories about the moon but still he feels has not learned the truth. Enjoy the show!

In Grade 1, the students have been working on a Fairy Tale Cyber Dictionary project. Mrs. Ellis read Rapunzel by Paul Zelinsky to the class. Each child selected a letter of the alphabet and a word from the story that starts with that letter. Each child then wrote a sentence about the tale using the word and drew a picture to illustrate the sentence. The class then wrote a retelling of the story. The finished illustrations and retelling were uploaded to the online Fairy Tale Dictionary to be shared by students around the world.
