Grade 5 Music Podcasts: “It Wouldn’t Be the Holidays Without…”

Ms. Paglia-Baker’s 5th Grade class has been creating “It Wouldn’t Be the Holidays Without…” podcasts in Daphne Bye’s music class. The lesson allowed students to share something musically special to them and to consider how music enhances their family culture. Today some of the students completed their projects and they are below. The others will be added after vacation. They are amazing to listen to.

Grade 6 Biomes Website Challenge

Ms. Bull challenged the sixth graders to design a website to educate 8 to 12 year olds about the importance of protecting the Earth. Working in small groups the students worked within a defined criteria to research and design their website. On Wednesday the National Science Foundation Trustees (aka Farshid Hajir, Pam Stone, Anne Ross, Susan Wells, Gaby Nagy and Tim Nagy) came to evaluate the students work. The students did an awesome job presenting their websites and defending their design. A great project incorporating 21st learning skills.

Links to the website will be added after vacation but here is a slideshow of the students on Wednesday.
