As part of the Grade 3 science curriculum students learn to identify the planets in our solar system and their characteristics. In Computer Information Class with Karin Gravina, students worked in pairs to research facts about a planet, prepared written notes and researched pictures to illustrate their podcast. Using iMovie, the students then organized their pictures and made their recording. This collaborative classroom project is a great way for students to demonstrate their knowledge of a particular topic. Along the way, students learn researching, writing, editing and teamwork skills.
