Preschool children listened to a collection of children’s songs from around the world. They heard each song recorded in both its native language and in English. They then learned the songs in English. On their globe, the class found the country from which the song originated. Children looked at the song book, heard the songs at the Listening Center, and sang along with the recordings.

One of the children’s favorite songs (from Mexico) begins like this, “Pin Pon’s a paper doll, and his clothes are all in place . . .”

muy grande de cartón

se desenreda el pelo

The children made these multi-cultural paper dolls in response to this song. Absolutely too precious not to share!
