Grade 5 Endangered Species – Interviews and Picture Books

The students in Ms. Paglia Baker’s classroom have been researching endangered species.  As a culminating project, the students created picture books about their animal and included facts about their habitat, physical descriptions, reasons for endangerment and potential solutions.  To reach a wider audience, the students were grouped by biome and interviewed about their animals.  In these TED-like talks, the students fully demonstrate  knowledge of their species.  Below are the interviews.  Under each student’s picture is a link to their picture books.  All did a fabulous job!  Congratulations!

  1. I loved getting this link and while I greatly enjoyed reading the books and talking to the 5th grade authors, I liked (and so will others in my family) watching each video. It is clear that this class learned a lot about the problem of endangered species.
